Whew! September was a blur, mostly because it was full of travel and new adventures.
Stephen and I began the month with a day trip to Palo Alto and the East Bay. I fell in love with Downtown Palo Alto, but was brokenhearted by the real estate prices! We still had a great time exploring a new area.
Just a few days later, we took the Coast Starlight train to Seattle, Washington, where we spent a week enjoying all that Seattle has to offer. We discovered a few new cocktail bars, a couple delicious breweries, some fabulous restaurants, and of course we thoroughly enjoyed all of Seattle’s most popular tourist destinations.
After our jam-packed week in Seattle, Stephen and I returned to the Bay Area for a week. We worked long hours to accommodate our vacation schedule before jetting back off to Arizona!
Of course, we spent a night in Tempe visiting my family, but the bulk of our Arizona trip was spent in a cabin in Heber, Arizona where we celebrated our friend Nicole’s 30th birthday. Our weekend in Heber consisted of a long nature walk, horseback riding, board games, and the grand event- a Murder Mystery party!
Since September was so hectic and filled with travel, I chose a lot of simple, hassle-free outfits so I had one less thing to worry about. While I enjoyed my usual colorful wardrobe in the beginning of the month, I switched to a mostly neutral color palette once I arrived in Seattle. (Tip: wearing neutrals on vacation makes it easier to pack!) In Seattle I also incorporated some light layers to accommodate the cooler weather.
I’m excited to even further embrace fall fashion in October, but to be honest I’m even more excited for 3 the three weeks of rest I’ll get before my next trip!
