Overall Impressions
Ever since purchasing my first Marc Jacobs Tote a year ago, I’ve been obsessed- so obsessed, I purchased a second one!
While it doesn’t make as many appearances on my Instagram feed as some of my other handbags, my Medium Tote Bag is one of my most frequently used bags. I bring it when I travel. Since it’s large enough to fit my iPad, I also use it when going to Dungeons & Dragons campaigns. Similarly, the bag is large enough to fit a book, making it my go-to when I run errands that involve a lot of waiting.
On the other hand, I don’t get a lot of use out of my Mini tote. While the vibrant blue color is adorable, the bag is slightly too small for my needs. It doesn’t quite fit everything I like to pack when flying. I can awkwardly shove my iPad into it, but it doesn’t fit comfortably. If I could go back, I would purchase a second Medium tote bag instead of a Mini; it would be much more useful for my needs.
The Mini Marc Jacobs Tote Bag is a great choice for someone who wants a daily carry handbag. If you’re looking for a travel bag, a Medium or Large tote is a better fit!
One of the top reasons I love my Marc Jacobs Tote Bags are their amazing quality. No matter what type of tote bag you purchase, know that it’s a sturdy, durable bag that will last you for years. I’ve put my two through the ringer over the past year, and both look brand new!
Personally, I prefer the leather totes over the canvas ones. The leather styles can be dressed up or down, making them more versatile. While the canvas totes are adorable and just as high quality as the leather ones, they have a more casual look.
If you’re looking to save money when purchasing a Marc Jacobs Tote Bag, stick to sales at big department stores like Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdales, and Neiman Marcus. Be careful when purchasing from resellers on apps like Poshmark and Mercari! There are a LOT of fakes on resale platforms. Since the bags are priced lower than the platforms’ authentication limits, a lot of resellers take advantage and sell replicas.
