Material
Don’t worry, animal lovers- the Scuba Fleece Funnel Neck is not made of real fleece! Instead, it’s comprised of a 70% Polyester and 30% Recycled polyester blend. This cropped Scuba is significantly heavier than Lululemon’s normal styles, providing effective insulation against cooler temperatures.
Sizing
Like all Scuba Oversized sweatshirts, the Cropped Fleece Funnel Neck is available in sizes XS/S, M/L, and XL/XXL.
When choosing what size Scuba to purchase, I recommend trying on a couple different sizes in store. Personally, I found it difficult to choose the correct size when buying my first Scuba. I’m typically a size 6 in Lululemon tops, which places me firmly in between a size XS/S and M/L on Lululemon’s size chart. When comparing the two sizes, I loved the length of the M/L, but found it to be rather boxy.
Ultimately, I chose to purchase a size XS/S as I felt the M/L was too baggy. However, your preference may differ! If you can, try the sweatshirt on first before making a decision.
Colors
Like almost all Lululemon pieces, the Cropped Oversized Scuba Fleece Funnel Neck is available in Black. It also comes in seasonal colors, although availability may differ based on the time of year. Personally, I chose to purchase the Fleece Funnel Neck in White Opal as it was easy to style alongside several items in my wardrobe!
Price
Retailing for $148 USD, the Scuba Fleece Funnel Neck is one of Lululemon’s pricier sweater options. However, the sweatshirt is currently marked down for $99, making it more affordable!
Overall Impressions
I was really impressed with the quality of the Lululemon Cropped Oversized Scuba Fleece Funnel Neck. Not only is this sweatshirt warm, it’s really comfy! On cold winter mornings, it feels like a warm hug. It’s easy to throw on before running errands, although it’s added bulk makes more physical chores like walking the dog a bit difficult.
One thing to keep in mind that this sweatshirt is especially heavy. I originally purchased it to pack on a trip to the Midwest during winter. Interestingly enough, the fleece scuba was so heavy it pushed my suitcase over the airline’s weight requirement, so I sadly had to leave it behind.
In addition to the cropped Oversized Scuba Funnel Neck, Lululemon also released a full-length version. While just as comfortable as the cropped, I found the full-length style to be overly baggy and unflattering. If choosing between the two, I recommend the cropped version.
