Halloween 2021 Décor

Happy early Halloween! Tis the season of witches, potions, and my favorite- chocolate candy!

This Halloween, I decided to augment my existing fall décor by adding a few spirited Halloween pieces. While it’s tempting to go out and purchase a crazy amount of Halloween decorations, I chose to wait. Holiday decorations are expensive; plus, I have limited storage space in my current rental house.

Over time, I hope to amass enough Halloween décor to turn my house into a mini haunted mansion for my future kids. For now, I love my minimalistic spooky style!

Porch

Fitting with my holiday theme, my Halloween front porch décor is fairly simple. I kept my fall welcome sign and swapped out my second sign for a festive coffin that reads “Trick or Treat.”

For a little extra punch, I purchased two pumpkins from a local farm as well as a witch yard stake from Michael’s.

Mantle

Once again, my mantle has become the cutest, most spirited place in my house!

Just like my front porch, I kept my mantle décor similar to my original fall design. To add to my pumpkin theme, I included a couple of black glitter trees for a spooky air. To frame the mantle, I placed a Halloween street sign and a cute piece of coffin wall art!

Bedroom

Decorating my bedroom for Halloween was a challenge. My boyfriend and I typically use most of the surfaces in our bedroom on a daily basis, so tabletop décor was out of the question. While I found some fun Halloween wall décor, I didn’t want to commit to purchasing anything since I’m also looking for permanent paintings and mirrors for our walls.

Instead, I chose to remove a couple of my fall pillows and replace them with this beautiful velvet black and gold skull pillow from Michael’s. It was the perfect spooky bed addition. Plus, it paired beautifully with my existing burnt orange pillows and throw blanket from Target!

Dining Room

Finally, I chose to decorate our dining room table with two more spooky black glitter trees. To keep my tabletop looking streamlined and uncluttered, I removed a fall shadow box and replaced it with a cute black and orange Halloween sign.
